The Plateau State Government has emphasized that the State Task Force on COVID-19 are yet to record any confirmed case. This was made known in a by the Secretary to the State Government Prof Danladi Attu in a press briefing in Jos the Plateau State capital.

In his own words “…Let me begin by reaffirming that so far, there is no recorded case of the disease in Plateau State. Even though some suspected samples have been taken for examination, non has turned out positive…”
This is coming on the hills of rumors making round that there were isolated cases in Jos and that Government was being economical with information.
Citizens have been encouraged to use the toll free lines provided by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) to report any symptom related to that of COVID-19.
So far, the nation wide number of confirmed cases have risen over 160, and fears over a spike in the figures had led to many state governments including Plateau State to close their borders and restrict movement in and out of the state, only to essential services are allowed free movement.
