The Northern Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN) has felicitated with National President/Chairman, Niger Delta Agitators Forum, High Chief (Dr) Selky Kile Torughedi (A.K.A General Young Shall Grow) on the occasion of his birthday.
The felicitation was contained in a statement issued in Jos, the Plateau State Capital by the Deputy Speaker, North Central Rt Hon Audu Alex Yibeikas, on behalf of the Board of Trustees and National Executive Council. The Northern Youth group eulogized Dr Selky as an exceptional gentleman, an activist and an emancipator. They described him as “A Detribalized Nigerian, an epitome of National Unity and Development”.
According to the statement, “High Chief (Dr) Selky has demonstrated his capacity as a peace loving Nigerian who has an agenda to develop and equip the youths for the future”.
The Deputy Speaker stressed that “High Chief (Dr) Selky Kile Torughedi has distinguished himself as one who has gone through a lot but has chosen Non-Violence as a tool for development. He has been on the forefront of emancipating young people and women. He has sent countless youths from across the country to school in Nigeria and abroad. He is responsible for the welfare of thousands of Young people”.
The group urged the Federal Government to engage him for greater National Assignments and also consider him for National Honors considering his capacity as an author and a motivational leader, one who has lifted a lot of young people single handedly. They wished him good health, long life and prosperity. They prayed to God to continue to protect him and wished him many happy returns.
The group said they would mobilize and pay him a solidarity visit immediately the restrictions occasioned by the Corona Virus is lifted and normalcy returns.
