DEPUTY SPEAKER PLHA CONDEMNED IN STRONG TERMS THE ABDUCTION OF PANKWAL BOGGHOM AND CALL FOR HIS IMMEDIATE RELEASED FROM THE KIDNAPPERS DEN.
The Deputy Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly Rt Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong condemned in strong terms the abduction of the paramount ruler of bogghom chiefdom Alh Shehu Suleman which the sad incident occurred at the early hours of Monday 20 April, 2020 at his residence in Namaran.
Yipmong while condemning the sad event, described the action of the kidnappers against the 2nd class chief as barbaric, inhuman and total disrespect to our traditional institutions.
He express dismay on how the case of kidnappings in our community is becoming rampant and business of the day that is unbearable.
He commiserated with the immediate family, the Bogghom Nation, Kanam emirates council and the entire people of Kanam over this tragic act.
He called on government at all levels to device a means for the immediate release of the monarch and bring the perpetrators to book, while appealing to people to remained steadfast, security conscious, extra vigilant and report any suspicious move to appropriate authorities.
To the kidnappers, he urged that as a matters humanity, respect and regard to the old age of the monarch, his health status; they should listened to the plea of his followers, released him and seek God to stop this barbaric act. He assured the people of government’s commitment to safeguarding the life and property of its citizens, our heart and prayers are with them especially at this trying time.
