The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced that all ward EXCO members whose tenure expires today stand dissolved in accordance with constitution.
This was contained in a statement issue by the State Publicity Secretary, JT Akans. The statement went further to clarify “Having received this, in line with the Party’s constitution considering the expiration of tenure of wards executive this day 30th April 2020, the state working committee in its online meeting has approved dissolution of the old wards executive and also approved the inauguration of the newly elected wards as approved by the national leadership of the party…”
The statement went on to point out that “…by this approval the newly elected wards executive stand inaugurated as wards executive”.
In the last few hours, there have been heated issues surrounding the decision of the Party to swear-in the newly elected Ward EXCOs as required by the constitution, considering the expiration of tenure of the outgoing Ward EXCOs.
