COVID-19.DEPUTY SPEAKER HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES EXTEND HUMANITARIAN INTERVENTION TO PLATEAU STATE GOVERNMENT.

The Deputy Speaker House of Representatives,His Excellency, Rt Hon Ahmed Idris Wase has donated food items to Plateau State Government to compliment the efforts of the Lalong led adminstration in its efforts to alleviate the hardship experienced by the citizens as a result of the corona virus disease

The items which include, 600 bags of rice,2000 tubers of yam,500 cartons of sphageti,500 cartons of Maggie and 500 bags of salt were presented to the plateau state committee on management of covid 19 support at the SEMA store Bukuru.
Presenting the items on behalf of the Deputy Speaker, ALH.Musa Abdullahi Nyalun (Danburam Nyalun),said the best way to reach our common destination as true leaders of committed people is teamwork, unity and Love.

The Deputy Speaker applauded the proactive measures deployed by the state government which resulted to Plateau being among the lowest affected state in the country, while urging the state to sustain the tempo,he admonished the government to widen its scope through more community awareness and sensitisation.

The Deputy Speaker also used the occasion to commend his colleagues at the National Assembly from Plateau State for their efforts in cushioning the effect of the pandemic by lending helping hands at their various constituencies.
In his response,the Deputy Governor and Chairman Plateau State committee on management of COVID-19 support ,His Excellency Professor Sonny Tyoden,said the state was full of appreciation to the Deputy Speaker for always standing by his people especially at critical trying moments like this that the world is faced with global pandemic ravaging the human race.
He further informed the gathering that the donation from the Deputy Speaker is the highest coming from an individual.
He assured the Deputy Speaker that the state will make judicious use of the good gesture, while also appealing to other well meaning Senior citizens of the state to emulate the good steps taken by the Plateau distinguished son in the person of Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase.
