NORTHERN YOUTH INITIATIVE FOR PEACE AND GOOD GOVERNANCE CALLS FOR CALM AMONG NIGERIAN YOUTHS
The event that took place in the aftermath of the EndSars protests calls for urgent national rethink on governance in this country.
Though lessons has been learnt from the organizers of these protests and the government, it is one thing to learn a lesson and it is another thing to act on the lessons learnt.
While we condemn the hoarding of palliative items meant for the vulnerable by some state governments and individuals, we wish to state emphatically that, the act of looting these palliative by unpatriotic citizens is immoral and unjustifiable, actions of this magnitude may likely lead us to a state of anarchy.
We therefore call for restraint among youths, this looting spree will not take us anywhere as a nation, government on the other hand should provide the citizenry the enabling environment and necessary supports to thrive.
