The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Saturday 5th December 2020 bye elections conducted in Plateau South Senatorial District. The candidate of the APC Professor Laura Daddut defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Rt Hon George Edward Daika and is expected to be declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) any moment.
It will be recalled that the vacuum was created following the demise of Senator Ignatius Longjan.
According the results compiled by our correspondents in Shendam, it was gathered that the parties performed in what is a tight contest despite large voter apathy in most local government headquarters.
