The Deputy Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon (surv) Saleh Shehu Yipmong was today at COCIN Church Dadin Kowa, Jos for the funeral service of an elder statesman, Hon Chief (Dr) Jethro Mangam Akun MON, JP and then proceeded to the family compound of the deceased for final internment in Daffo, Bokkos LGA.

According to the statement, Rt Hon Yipmong who represented the Speaker of the 9th Assembly, Rt Hon Abok Nuhu Ayuba. decribed the deceased who was Saf Mabwol of Ron-Kulere Kingdom as an egalitarian leader, father to the fatherless, pillar of peace in the state and also, an epitome of mentorship to the younger generation. Other members of the 9th assembly present include Hon. Huseini Amorudu, member representing Bokkos constituency, Hon. Wallock Goma, member representing kanke constituency and Hon. Dantong, member representing Riyom constituency.

The statement further revealed that the Deputy Speaker said the late chief Jethro Akun who served as a two time member in the Plateau State House of Assembly and Deputy Governor of the state will be greatly be missed for his humility, kindness and quest for the peaceful development of the state.
Yipmong registered his condolence on behalf his family, the good people of Dengi constituency and the entire Plateau State House of Assembly to the family of the deceased and Ron nation of Bokkos LGA
