The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone C (Comprising North Central excluding Niger State & North East excluding Bauchi has held her elective convention to produce the next set of executive members that will pilot the affairs of the association for the next tenure of a year.
The convention held on Saturday 27th March 2021 at the conference hall of the Otukpo Study center of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). The convention saw in attendance delegates from various institutions across the ten (10) Northern states.
It was all joy and celebration following a consensus by all stakeholders on the candidates presented for elections at the convention.
Delegates had unanimously nominated and adopted former deputy coordinator of NANS Zone C, Comrade Orlando as convention Chairman. Who then conducted the convention proper.
The immediate past Deputy Coordinator of NANS Zone C Comrade Abba Owoicho from Benue State University Markurdi emerged the new Coordinator. The Deputy Coordinator elect is Comrade Shedrack Ovey Anzaku (Nasarawa State University, Keffi), while Secretary General elect is Comrade Shaki Bulus Joseph (Taraba State University, Jalingo). Comrade Nanzing Nanla from the University of Jos emerged as the Public Relations Office (PRO) of the Zone. Other offices were filled as well.
