The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Mohammadu Buhari has appointed Major General Farouk Yahaya as the new Chief of Army Staff (COAS).
This development was made known through a twit by the Defence Headquarters Twitter handles.
The appointment of Major General Farouk Yahaya is coming few days after the the army lost Major Gen Ibrahim Attahiru to an air crash.
