It was all celebration when Ijaw Youths stormed the Palace of High Chief (Dr) Selky Kile Torughedi (General Young Shall Grow) to celebrate his return. The Youths who are Ijaw residents in Abuja came in their numbers in solidarity with High Chief (Dr) Selky, whom they described as their National Leader, a Philanthropist, a Visionary who is always after the interest of his people.
It will be recalled that Dr Selky left to spend some time with his people in Azazuama Kingdom, in order to address their plights and seek for ways to address other pressing challenges they were facing. According to them his absence was felt by all and sundry, as he has been a Pilar of support to them and even youths from Northern Nigeria whom he has accepted has part of his family.
According to them, despite the fact that Dr Selky is not a politician, he has the heart of a true leader who is always after the welfare of his people. Stressing that as a detribalized Nigerian, Dr Selky represents an ICON who embraces all regardless of tribe or religion. Dr Selky, who is the National President, EX-Niger Delta Agitators Forum, is a recipient of many awards include the Grand Commander, Nigerian Youths by the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), as well as the title of TURAKIN MATASA, Conferred on him by the Northern Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN).
