The leadership of Northern Youth Initiative for Peace and Good Governance have paid a solidarity visit to Alhaji Bukar Shettima Modu on Wednesday 30th June, 2021, describing him as a financial expert and a senior Bureau De Change operator in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
The delegation was led by the leader of the group Ambassador Alhaji Umar Farouk Lawal who explained that the organisation deemed it fit to extend her heartfelt solidarity to the financial expert due to his philanthropic gesture and outstanding performance in areas of societal development, youths empowerment and job creation. Stressing that the evidence is validated through his recent commissioning of millions worth of Modern Islamic school donated to his community in Maiduguri, Borno State.
While presenting an award of excellence as Icon of Societal Development to Alhaji Shettima, the group stressed that, he earned the induction into NYIPGG Hall of Fame as a result of his zealous performance towards making Nigeria a great nation through affecting the lives of the downtrodden.
While responding to following his receipt of the award, Alhaji Shettima appreciated the group, urging them to be self reliant and work towards promoting peace among Nigerians. He further adviced the organization to engage government in areas of job creation, education and human capital development as these are key to sustainable development.
