The leadership of the Northern Youth Initiative for Peace and Good Governance has commended Nigeria’s Security Forces over efforts to contain insurgency and other forms of insecurity across the country. This was contained in a statement issued by the group’s leader, Alh Umar Farouk Lawl and made available to this medium.
According to the statement “This commendation has become necessary looking at the shortfall of manpower and improper funding of our security sector, despite these mirage of challenges, their spirit of resiliency never went down but keep on increasing on a daily basis.”
The statement stressed that “The recent defeat meted on bandits, Boko Haram and other criminal elements is a testimony that Nigeria has the best security agents just that they are bereaved of adequate manpower and proper funding”.
The group went further to remind the general public that “It can be recall that the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Ma’azi Nnamdi Kanu was arrested last weekend on the account of insurrection and incitement of violence, an arrest which was described as one of the world best classical and intelligent operation”, urging government to keenly follow the case with optimum enthusiasm, as as Nigeria can not afford further bloodshed.
