The Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba has ordered the immediate investigation into the allegeded indictment of DCP Abba Kyari by a United States Court in the ongoing trial of Ramon. This position was issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, CP Frank Mba made available of Thursday Night.
According to the statement “The Nigeria Police Force reaffirms its commitment to the pursuit of justice and the strengthening of its professional relationship with the FBI and other international partners.
Further developments on this case will be communicated to members of the public accordingly”.
DCP Abba Kyari was reportedly implicated in the trial of Ramon Abbas (aka Hushpuppi) by the Department of Justice in the United States of American. DCP Abba Kyari is alleged to have received proceeds from illicitly gotten money from Hushpuppi.
A US Court reportedly asked the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to arrest DCP Abba Kyari.
Clearly, the Nigerian authorities did not receive the news in cheers considering the anti corruption stance of the Buhari administration.
