Hon Henry Gotip receives Royal Blessings from Traditional Rulers in Kanke

The candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Local Government in Kanke LGA has receded royal blessings in Kanke LGA ahead of the elections in October. 

The Forum of Village Heads in the Area came together in a ceremony which took place at the palace of the Chairman of the forum, Nde Caleb Kaye Lukolm, the Ngolong Gungji. The meeting had in attendance representatives of the forum from all the Districts of the local government.

In his welcoming address, the Chairman of the Forum admonished the party flag bearer to be God fearing, cool headed and be a leader with charisma who will carry everyone along. The Royal fathers offered prayers for God’s protection during his electioneering campaigns and urged him to use the period to identify some of the difficulties being faced by the people so that eventually when elected he will be able to find lasting solutions to them.

In his remarks, the Ngolong Munok, Nde Kangkor Gombwer, who is the longest serving Village Head in the Local Governmen Area, advised the Aspirant to embrace all and sundry. He  warned against those who may take advantage of his simplicity to mislead him for thier selfish interests.
In their separate contributions, the Ngolong Tungon Tabulung, Nde Musa Gowal, that of Kurum Garam, Nde Sunday Yilta and Ngolong Garyan, Nde Nungbewa Golen also gave thier blessings and counsel to the Local Government Chairmanship candidate.
They charged him to ensure that members of his campaign team conduct themselves in a peaceful manner during the campaigns by avoiding acts that are capable of denting the good image of the aspirant and party.

Responding, Henry Jan Gotip said he was highly overwhelmed with Joy and  gratitude for the blessings and prayers offered him. He discribed the Traditional Institution as an intergral part of socio economic growth and development of the locality.
He appealed to the Village Heads and other leaders not to relent in contributing their quota to the success of the local Government Area, the emergence of Ngolong Ngas and also ensuring subjects coexist peacefully with each other.
He acknowledged that the prayers and blessings showered upon him are the pillars for his success in the election ahead and stressed that he will build on thier words of wisdom when the opportunity to lead is given.

High points of the ceremony was laying of hands by all the members of the Forum on the Aspirant which they wished success in his campaigns in all the nooks and crannies of the Local Government Area.
