The member representing Riyom – B/Ladi Federal Constituency at the North Central Youth Parliament Hon Dongo Samuel has condemned in strong terms the continuous killings of innocent citizens in rural communities in Riyom and Bassa LGAs respectively.
Hon Dongo who is a native of Riyom LGA made this known in a statement issued to journalist in Jos the Plateau State Capital. In the statement, Hon Dongo urged government and security agencies to arose and defend citizens. Hon Dongo thus quote a bible verse Esther 4:14 to buttress his point, which reads “For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
His statement is coming on the hills of attacks on communities which intensified in Riyom and most recently Bassa LGA within the last few days, leaving scores killed and hundreds displaced.
