The Plateau State Government has debunked rumours making rounds that the 24 Hours curfew earlier imposed on Jos North, and the dusk to dawn curfew imposed of Bassa and Jos South LGAs respectively have been reviewed.
In a statement issued by the Honorable Commissioner for Information and Communication, Dan Majang and made available to journalists on Wednesday (18/8/2021) afternoon, the Plateau State Government urged members of the public to note that the curfew earlier imposed on Jos North, Jos South and Bassa Local Government Areas still remains in place. As a result, Members of the public are advised to disregard any rumour of review of the current curfew.
The statement stressed that if and when Government reaches any decision on the curfew, such decision will be promptly conveyed to the citizens.
Mr Manjang used the opportunity to on behalf of the Government use the opportunity to appreciate citizens of the affected areas for their cooperation and understanding, and further assures that it is working with all stakeholders to ensure that things return to normal as soon as possible
