Newly Inaugurated PYC EXCO Pledge to pursue Peace & Unity, Reconciliation, constitutional review, others

The Newly inaugurated EXCO Members of the Plateau State Youth Council have reiterated their commitment to unite Plateau Youths in Peace and Unity of Purpose. This was revealed by the Chairman of the Plateau State Youth Council, Comrade Lot Sunday Adas at the inauguration ceremony of the State EXCO of the council on Thursday September 9th 2021.

Comrade Lot Sunday Adas mention among other things that he will pursue healing/reconciliation among all Aspirants who contested in the last PYC Elections, stressing that he will extend a hand of friendship and appeal to them to key in the Plateau Project. According to him, there shall be no victor no vanquished.

Comrade Adas further presented in his speech his desire along with his EXCO to organize retreats and summits with themes centering on Peace and Unity for the Leadership of the Council and all youths on the Plateau.

On one of the contending issues that led to a plethora of court cases, Comrade Adas pledged to ensure the current PYC constitution is reviewed, to ensure a more coordinated and more effective Youth Council going forward.

The event was attended by HE Governor Simon Bako Lalong, the Honorable Commissioner for Youth & Sports, other critical stakeholders as well as the immediate past Chairman of the Council and the DG of PLASCHEM Dr Jemchang Fabong.
