The Deputy Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong who is also the member representing Dengi Constituency has charged the All Progressive Young Women Forum to dream big regardless of their social status. This he said during the flag-off of capacity building, advocacy, skill acquisition, and networking for equal gender inclusion in politics and equity in governance.
The Deputy Speaker who was ably represented by his Legislative Aide on Media & Information, Honourable Sadiq Kwaltom extended the legislator’s sincere apologies for his absence due to urgent matters of utmost importance which needed his attention.
The Deputy Speaker in his goodwill message charged the young women to take up challenges to participate in all political activities so as to have all necessary arguments for inclusion ingovernance.
Hon Yipmong stresses as a member and leader in All Progressive Congress in the state, he will liaise with other progressive members to add value to the forum. He further noted that the doors of the State Assembly will always be open to brilliant women for partnership especially now that majority of the members are from APC.
In his closing remark, he appreciated the leaders and organizers of the event, urgimg them to create avenues for inclusion of all women who wish to join while pledging to support them.
