The Zoning Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has zoned the National Chairmanship of the party along with other party offices currently held by the South East, South West and South South to the North, while all offices currently being held by the North East, North Central and North West have been zoned to the Southern part of the country.
Chairman of the committee and Governor of Enugu State Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, flanked by other members of the committee announced the decision which according to him was in accordance with the constitution of the party.
Governor Ugwanyi noted that the Zoning of Party Offices was the committee’s terms of reference and not President and Vice President. He noted that the decision of the committee will be forward to the National Executive Committee of the party.
