Ahead of the October 9th 2021 Local
Government elections in Plateau State, most Local Government Headquarters have transformed into beehives of political activities, especially for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Kanke LGA is not left out. The Chairmanship Candidate and flag Bearer of the APC in Kanke LGA, Hon. Henry Jan Gotip has concluded campaign rallies for the All Progressives Congress (APC) which is fielding councillorship candidates for the 18 Local Governments wards.
At the campaign rallies of the 18 Local Government Wards Hon. Henry Jan Gotip noted that the APC has done a lot for the development of communities and has attained greater acceptance which will guarantee its victory this coming Saturday.
According to Hon Henry Jan Gotip, the APC has steadily deepened its roots in Plateau State through Governor Simon Bako Lalong Government’s people-driven projects and programmes that have encompassed every part of the State.
In his own words, he stressed that “APC has been attractive to the citizens of the State because of equity, fairness and including youths and women in governance which has enhanced the peace and tranquility prevailing in the State“.
While presenting flags to APC councillorship candidates, Hon Henry Jan Gotip urged them to go to the polls with confidence, stressing that the people have seen and touched the performance of the APC which will spur them to choose the party during the polls on the ballot.
Hon Henry urged members of the party and the entire people of the local government to conduct themselves peacefully before, during and after the elections and not allow politicians cause a breach of the peace.

The rally climaxed with the decoration of the APC flagbearer Hon. Henry Jan Gotip by the village head of Nemel HRH Goshi Shangka Nathaniel.

The APC in Kanke Local Government flagged-off their rally on Monday 4th October, 2021 and ended on Wednesday 6th October, 2021. The rally was generally peaceful throughout the 18 wards of the Local Government.
