As the activities leading to the Christmas Day celebration climax, HRH Dr Selky Kile Torughedi, the Eyewei the 5th of Azuzzuama has called on Security agencies to be professional during the Christmas celebration while also calling on Nigerians to be vigilant and security conscious.
HRH Dr Selky made this known in a statement issued to journalists at his Abuja Palace residence. HRH Dr Selky noted that it was important to call the attention of security agencies during this festivity to ensure that the roads and the streets are safe as Nigerians travel for the Christmas celebration. He pointed out that there is need for security agencies to continue to improve on their current efforts to ensure that Nigerians enjoy the festive season in safety.
HRH Dr Selky used the opportunity to appeal to Nigerians to be vigilant, security conscious during this season, stressing that they should not be caught up in celebration and forget to report suspicious persons or movements to security agencies to ensure that their families are safe.
HRH Dr Selky used the opportunity to mourn with the Federal Government and the Governors of Sokoto and Kaduna States over the unfortunate incidences for the last few days which claimed hundreds of live. HRH Dr Selky condemned the continues destruction of lives and property by men of the underworld, while urging greater efforts by security agencies to gain more grounds.
