The Deputy Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong has taken it upon himself to build a Science Laboratory for Government Secondary School Kunkyam, in Kanam LGA. This was reveal by the Deputy Speaker during the 2021 Kunkyam Day Celebration.
Deputy Speaker Yipmong been a son of the soil and member representing Dengi State Constituency took it upon himseld to build the entire laboratory structure for the community considering the importance science education to the entire Kunkyam Community. He urged the people to continue to pray for leaders at all levels to bring development to them.
The Speaker, Bauchi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Abubakar who doubles as Chairman Conference of Speakers of Nigeria honored the invitation by Plateau State Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Saleh Shehu Yipmong to Chair the Kunkyam day 2021.
Other powerful dignitaries present include the Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly, Deputy Speaker, Taraba State House of Assembly, the member representing PKK, member representing Kawo constituency in Kaduna State House of Assembly, Plateau State lawmakers, Executive Chairman, Kanam LGA, Governorship Aspirants, PKK aspirants, state assembly aspirants, and other well-meaning personalities. Royal fathers present includes HRH the Emir of Kanam, HRH the Emir of Wase, Pankwal Bogghom, and other traditional chiefs.
The event which is an annual celebration of Kunkyam culture and achievement also had as part of this year theme a fundraising for building and furnishing a science laboratory for Government Secondary School Kunkyam.
Rt Hon Yipmong appreciated all the guests for honoring his invitation and for their kind cash donations which will go a long way in furnishing the laboratory.
