A youth group by the name ‘NotTooYoungToLead Initiative’ has kicked a against a reported decision by the National Economic Council (NEC) to review the price per litre of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol from the current official price of N165 per liter to N302 per liter.
Executive Director, #NotTooYoungToLead Initiative, Ambassador Elvis Akpobi made this known in a statement issued exclusively to this medium on Wednesday 19th January 2022. In the statement, Ambassador Akpobi berated the planned new price regime which according to reports is expected to take effect in February 2022.
He expressed dissatisfaction over the development on behalf of the group, stressing that this attempt will only multiply the already suffering Nigerian masses. He note that the astronomic unemployment figures as well as inflation are not favourable, hence an increase in the price of PMS at this time is ill-advised and should be shelved, stressing that it will only add to the suffering on many Nigerians.
