Youth Group Calls on Party Leaders and Stakeholders to Support Young Candidates with Character and Competence ahead of 2023 elections

The NotTooYouthToLead Initiative has called on party leaders and stakeholders to support Young candidates with character and competence ahead of the 2023 general elections.

This was revealed in a statement issued by the Executive Director of the initiative, Ambassador Elvis Akpobi in Asaba the Delta State capital.

Ambassador Akpobi encouraged political parties to always give room for youth participation, stressing the youths constitute 70% of the voting strength and membership of every political party, hence there was need for them as critical stakeholders to participate as flag bearers ahead of 2023; stressing that character and competence are the key attributes that every youth who is to be considered as flag bearer must have.

Ambassador Elvis Akpobi, who is also the Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Youths Development also noted that the problems that Nigeria is currently confronted with are mostly digital in nature, hence it would take people with digital mindsets to solve such problems, in which majority of the youths are already ahead in this digital era.
