Results have emanated from sources at the collation center of the Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency Bye Election. The election organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is to fill in the vacuum created by the death Hon Haruna Maitala.
The results which is reflective of the votes cast in both Bassa and Jos North LGAs reveal a keen contest between candidate of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon Musa Agah Avia, surprise outing by the candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) Hon Muhammadu Gwani and the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon Abbey Aku.

From the result presented above, which was confirmed by officials of INEC, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon Musa Agah Avia has clinched the seat and has been returned elected by INEC today Sunday 27th February 2022.
