Open Letter to President Buhari “rescue remaining Chibok School Girls, Leah Sharibu & thousands in Kidnappers/Bandits/Terrorist Captivity” Amb John Pofi

The National Coordinator, Prayer Force Network, Ambassador John Pofi has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to replicate the same method used in rescuing the Dapchi School Girls to bring back Leah Sharibu, the remain Chibok School Girls and thousands who are still in Kidnappers/Bandits/Terrorists nets before the end of his tenure in 2023.

This was contained in an open letter addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari, Amb Pofi noted that though this was not the first time he was writing an open letter to the President, in his own words ” This time, I want to passionately appeal to you on behalf of the parents and guardians of the remaining abandoned Chibok girls who are over one hundred still in captivity for eight years now.” Describing the experience of the relations of the girls in captivity as “…horrifying closed chapter, agony and despair.”.

Ambassador Pofi called the attention of the President to the expectations of Nigerians in 2015 on assumption of office, stressing in his own words thus “Mr. President, you will recall that in 2015 when your government “rescued” over one hundred of the Chibok girls from captivity, we all clapped our hands for you, hoping to see the remaining one hundred and ten, but the waiting game is becoming sour, your excellency. What was the magic used in 2015 to get those ones freed? Why can’t you apply same now? Will these girls ever return?”, stressing that “When the Dapchi girls were kidnapped, we all saw how proactive you were to get them back. We all applauded you for a great job though Leah Sharibu is still in captivity without any effort to bring her back.”.

Amb Pofi pointed out that the “…the political abduction of the Kankara boys in your home state…and the hasty manner in which they were all released, speak volumes of your “,

While urging the President to set up a set up “…a strong machinery immediately to work for the release of the remaining over one hundred Chibok girls, Leah Sharibu, Lilian Gyang, Mwanret Daspan, Grace, victims of the Kaduna train attack and a host of others who are in captivity.”

Amb Pofi Stressed that “These terrorists that…nicknamed “bandits” have thousands in their custody in different parts of the country and sadly, the ransom they get is what they use to arm themselves the more for terrible operations.”

He further urged that President to “Make the rescue mission of the thousands that are sick, dying in various terrorists, bandits and kidnappers camps across the nation as your priority before your exit in 2023.”
