As the days draw near to the conduct of the Primary Elections, leading to the emergence of candidates for Political parties leading to the 2023 General Elections, Gubernatorial aspirants under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have continued consultations.
One of the Gubernatorial contenders under the PDP Chief Satu Jawum Jatau (Barden Panyam)has posited that whoever seeks to become the Governor of Plateau State must be conversant with the Challenges, Strengths and Opportunities of Plateau State.
Chief Satu made this known when he visited the State EXCO of the PDP at the State Secretariat of the Party in Jos, the Plateau State Capital. Chief Satu noted that Haven acquainted himself with the challenges, strengthens and opportunities of Plateau State, he presents himself as a person who possess the requisite capacity and capability to run the development of Plateau State and close the gaps that have been created.
He stressed that if given the support and mandate, he promised to take Plateau to heights greater than the states considered to be ahead of Plateau State. He called on the Leadership of the PDP in Plateau State to allow themselves to be judged by their conscience when the time comes to make critical decisions, urging Plateau people to look to God to give them the leader they deserve.
According to Chief Satu, the spirit of the patriarchs which as Moses and Joshua, which represented to him the spirits of liberation and distribution of the fruits of Plateau, which to him Plateau was in dire need of. He promised to restore the fortunes of Plateau State to give every Plateau citizen the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of the State.
Chief Satu noted that thought the PDP had retrogressed because of some mistakes in the past, the current PDP had indeed made giant strides. He hailed the leadership of the PDP at all levels for this great achievement and stability.
Responding on behalf of the State EXCO of the PDP in Plateau State, State Chairman of the Party, Hon Chris Hassan promised that the party will give a level playing ground to all aspirants as PDP is the home for all regardless of any sentiments.
