Gubernatorial Aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State, Ambassador Bagudu Multe Hirse has said that he is that man with a heart for Plateau State.
Ambassador Bagudu Hirse who is also a former Ambassador or Nigeria to the Nation of Namibia and former Minister of Foreign Affairs, made this know when he engaged PDP Delegates in Bassa, Jos South, Barkin Ladi and Riyom LGAs to seek their supports in the forthcoming Gubernatorial Primary Election slated for 23rd May, 2022.

He stated that he was moved to step up and contest for Governorship because he was unhappy with the way Plateau State has deteriorated and the way Plateau Citizens are suffering due to insecurity, bad leadership and economic hardship.
He dispelled any opinion going round that he is old and tired, insisting that he was here to follow in the steps of former Governor, Da Jonah Jang, especially his strides in infrastructural development and as one who will govern with the fear of God if given the mandate.

Ambassador Bagudu urged delegates to deliver the PDP with a credible candidate as the burden is now their responsibility. He stated that reliable information has confirmed that the PDP in Plateau state has been infiltrated by some persons who do not mean well for the party even some amongst them are aspirant , as such delegates must try to get it right by bringing worthy candidates that have the interest of the party.
According to him, Plateau State is blessed as the home of tourism which has remained largely untapped, an example is the wild life park that is wasting away.He said if properly handled it will generate revenue for the state and guarantee the prosperity growth of tourism in the state.

“I am here to introduce myself to you and to dispel any notion that I am old, I want you to know that I have the qualities needed to change the story of the people of Plateau State for good.”
“I have a well detailed agenda for Plateau state, which includes my plans for economic development, Agricultural development, youth empowerment, Peace and security. It is not about who you take over from but what can you do for the people and it is time for the PDP to take back power. Leadership has nothing to do with age, it lies in someone capacity and ideas” he said.
Director General of the Campaign Organization, a former Northern Zone Party Vice Chairman, Chief Andrew Iza, while introducing the Aspirant described him as a good product that has no hiding place with his antecedents well known in Plateau state and beyond.

He urged the Delegates to give him a chance to achieve his vision of a better, greater, safer and more prosperous Plateau.
While responding, the delegates and various leaders of the delegates who spoke, described him as the person who understands PDP and Plateau State as he has been there over the years.
They appreciated his presence and lauded his capacity as an Aspirant with a difference, and prayed God to grant him his desire.
They urged him not to disappoint the State if given the mandate but work towards growing the State.
