Hon Dr Timothy Golu meets with PDP EXCO and Delegates in Riyom LGA urges them not to despair, promises to nip security challenges if given the PDP mandate and elected as Governor

The major contender for the Gubernatorial ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State Hon Dr Timothy Golu has promised to nip security challenges in the state to ensure that the state flourishes because no society develops without peace and security.

Dr Golu made this know when he met with PDP LG EXCO, Delegates and stakeholders in Riyom, headquarters of Riyom LGA. Dr Golu who was accompanied by his entourage and enthusiastic supporters recounted the solid leadership foundation laid by Late JD Gomwalk, Late Chief SD Lar, Sir Fidelis Tapgun and HE Senator Jonah David Jang.

He stressed that as long as there is life, the quest for making Plateau one of the greatest states in Nigeria, despite the setbacks the current administration has orchestrated through bad leadership. He lamented the way and manner the current administration has handled the development of Plateau State despite huge subventions, refunds and heavy loans accumulated by the APC led administration.

He called on Plateau people not to despair in the face of the current challenges, urging them to be resolute in ensuring that with their votes a new government under the leadership of the PDP will be instituted, while allowing the rule of law and independence of all arms of Government are guaranteed.

According to Dr Golu, lack of creativity, political laziness and lack of political will on the part of the current administration is responsible for the level of backwardness of Plateau State.

Dr Golu presented himself to delegates as one who has the requisite experience and political will to go beyond words to ensure that Plateau State is rescued and developed, urging them to vote him massively in the Gubernatorial Primary Elections. Dr Golu promised that if given the mandate of the PDP in 2023, the people of Plateau State will see the difference.

PDP Chairman of Riyom LGA Gyang Kula while appreciating Dr Golu and his entourage urged him not to abandon the promises he has made to the people of Riyom LGA when he emerges victorious.
