Hon Dr Timothy Golu visits PDP EXCO and Delegates in Shendam, describes them as worthy friends & family

Front line contender for the gubernatorial ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2023 General elections Hon Dr Timothy Golu has described the people of Shendam as people whom he has come to know as worthy friends and family who know how to hold friendship and relationships, while thanking them for being accommodating and caring to all ethnicities and people.

Dr Golu made this known when he visited PDP EXCO and Delegates of Shendam LGA. Dr Golu who was accompanied by his lovely wife Mrs Chalya Golu and his encouraged hailed the long standing relationship that has lasted over the years between himself and the PDP family in Shendam.

Dr Golu presented himself to the delegates as an experienced journalist and legislator who has acquired the requisite experience which sets him apart as a leader who is equipped with the needed capacity and capability to build Plateau State to heights and bring about the needed change the state needs.

Dr Golu decried the backward nature of agriculture in Shendam LGA despite being an agrarian society that has produced an Executive Governor of Plateau State. Dr Golu noted that most indigenes of Shendam and indeed Plateau State were developed and empowered from agricultural proceeds, stressing that Gov Lalong has failed to build on a sector that has empowered him throughout his education.

Dr Golu, decried the security situation in Plateau State stressing that despite the abundance of ideas, things have not changes. Dr Golu pledged to bring all his experience to bear in tackling the security situation in the State.

Dr Golu assured delegates that considering his experience and exposure, he is in pole position to ensure meticulous administration of the machinery of government if given the mandate as flag bearer of the PDP and subsequently elected Governor of Plateau State.

Dr Golu promised to explore alternative means to stimulate economic growth and development, as well as increased Internationally Generated Revenue (IGR). He urged them to give him the opportunity to transform Plateau State for the betterment of all Plateau Citizens.

Responding on behalf of the PDP EXCO in Shendam, Chairman of the party, Francis Tunkuyo described Dr Timothy Golu as one who is not a visitor to Shendam but a known ally who has merely returned home to Shendam, being a title holder as the ‘Longgwat of Dorok’ (Defence Minister)
