Following the emergence of the Gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)in Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, well wishers have continued to celebrate his emergence as the Governorship candidate of the PDP. Many have hailed his solid resolve to reclaim power and return the state to its glorious days of good and developmental governance, more solidarity messages have continued to pour in.
In a demonstration of unity and strong will, essentially all who equally aspired for the ticket, all National and State Assembly Member of the PDP and prominent members of the larger Plateau society, Women of Women and Youth Forums have congratulated Mutfwang and expressed commitment to work toward his success in the secondary election.
Similarly, reports have also shown that leading members of the APC have also congratulated Mutfwang and declared their readiness to support his hand emergence as Governor of Plateau State. They decried the dearth of internal democracy and the emasculation of aspirants within the APC that gave birth to irreconcilable differences and the consequent outcome. Understandably, the aggrieved APC stalwarts merely echoed the voices of elders and supporters of the party who discerned the unholy scenario long before its execution.
The ruling APC is capitulating under the burden of crude imposition, reportedly created by family, friends and cronies; the worms of which are eating the fluttered fabrics of the party, dispersing its followership ahead of the 2023 General Elections.
Meanwhile, the quantum of support across the party divide has humbled Mutfwang and strengthened his resolve to free the state from its current leadership misfortune since the current administration came into the scene in 2015.
