“COVID-19 Vaccine safe and effective for human use” Consultant Pathologist Dr Mashor Mbwas

The COVID-19 Vaccine has been described as safe and effective for human use. This is because it has gone through all the stages of testing, trials and certification.

This was disclosed by Dr Mashor Mbwas who was a guest speaker at a town hall meeting organized to sensitize Influencers on COVID-19 Safety and Effectiveness which held in Pankshin LGA, Plateau State. The event had in attendance Influencers from the five (5) LGAs of the Plateau Central Senatorial District.

Bingham University Teaching Hospital, and Financial Secretary, NMA Plateau State Chapter took participants through a trilling lecture on the COVID-19 Virus, type of COVID-19 vaccines – safety and effectiveness, urging participants to take the COVID-19 Vaccine as it has been certified safe.

He noted that though persons who take the COVID-19 Vaccines experience mild fever in most cases, there was no cause for alarm because fevers are an indication that the body has entered its defensive mode.

The event which is the second of its kind organized in Plateau State by Comrade Friday Bako with support from MacArthur Foundation and the Center for Information and Technology Development (CITAD) gave participants the opportunity to ask questions about the COVID-19 Vaccine which Dr Mashor Mbwas was able to address squarely.

Atleast thirteen persons volunteered to become Ambassadors to facilitate the public about the COVID-19 Vaccine in their communities, while others pledged to take the COVID-19 Vaccine.
