Youths belonging to different support groups have embarked on what they called a ‘cleansing exercise’ of the street housing the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jos to express displeasure over the flag-off of the APC Presidential Campaign which held at the same venue on Tuesday 15th November 2022.
The youths who converged at the entrance of the Rwang Pam Township Stadium early hours of Wednesday with a Water Tank chanted Solidarity Songs for the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON and the Gubernatorial Candidate of the PDP in Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang.
Kamis Sani, Leader of the Atiku Youth Motivation Movement (YAM) Leader said that they had come out to wash away what he termed as “..the diseases…” that the APC brought to Plateau State and Nigeria. He charged voters across Nigeria to come out enmass and vote massively for the PDP in order to clean up the challenges of the last seven (7) years. He stressed that Nigerians had witness the goodness and transparency of the PDP administration and as such will vote massively for PDP.
Muhammed Sadiq Hassan, the Leader of PDP National Youth Amendment Movement said that his group has converged to help wash away the dirt’s of the APC adding that they were ready to mobilize and support the PDP at all levels. He urged Nigerians not to be intimidated but stay calm and keep mobilizing people to vote out the APC in Nigeria at large and give their votes to Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for President and Barrister Caleb Mutfwang for Governor of Plateau. He stressed that his group was not intimidated by the number of people who attended the APC Campaign flag-off adding that majority of those who attended the APC Presidential Flag-Off were not Plateau people, adding that they were people who were brought from outside Plateau and we’re paid to attend the rally.
Speaking in solidary with the Youths who had invited him to witness the symbolic event, the Youth Coordinator, Atiku/Mutfwang Campaign Council, Mr Joshua Hitler Pwajok said that he was delight to have received the invitation from the groups and quickly rushed to support them to flush out the lies and deceit perpetrated yesterday during the Presidential Campaign flag-off of the APC.
He said that Nigerians have not forgotten the failed promises made by the APC in 2014/2015 which are still unfulfilled. He challenged the APC to roll out their scorecard in the last seven (7) years in comparison to achievements of the PDP in the years before 2015 not to come out and dish what he described as “more deceit and lies”. He assured the youths on the Plateau that the PDP has provided an umbrella under the Youth Directorate of the Atiku/Mutfwang Campaign Council to accommodate them considering that the APC has only given young people pains and agony in the last 7 years.
He said that Governor Simon Lalong can only be living in self deceit by promising Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu 70% votes in Plateau State.
Also speaking at the event, the Chairman Igbo Youths Movement for Atiku/Mutfwang in Plateau State Uzoma Antony Okoro stated that his group had joined the event to flush out the lies told by the APC at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium in Jos. He debunked rumours that no person from the Igbo extraction was willing to support HE Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON come 2023.
