The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State has said that the party is prepared for the 2023 polls considering that the last legal matter against the party was dismissed by the court. This was disclosed by the State Chairman of the PDP Hon Chris Adukuchili Hassan while addressing Journalists during a Press Conference held in his office at the State Secretariat of the Party in Jos.
According to the chairman of the party, the PDP was already prepared for the polls even before the decision of the Federal High Court in Jos, dismissing the case filed against the party by one Augustine Timkuk. He said that party was already preparing persons who were going to train party agents for the 2023 polls on the use of Biomodal Verification and Accreditation System (BVAS) technology and election monitoring, stressing that the BVAS technology is a welcome development. He added that the BVAS technology was something the PDP as a party had pushed for, pointing out that the PDP won the Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency Bye-Election with the use of the BVAS before the court overturned it. He further posited that with the BVAS technology the PDP was going to win the 2023 polls at all levels.
The Chairman also used the opportunity to inform journalists over that the party was getting ready to receive her presidential candidate, HE Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON Wazirin Adamawa on Tuesday 13th December 2023 at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium. He added that all official processes and fees have been paid for the use of the stadium.
