BCM Promises to address the Plights of rural dwellers in Plateau State

The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has said that as one who has served as Executive Chairman of Mangu LGA, including his Deputy Mrs Josephine Piyo who served during the same time as Chariperson of Riyom LGA, they will not ignore the plights of local rural dwellers. This according to Mutfwang, no one knows the plights of rural dwellers better than himself and Mrs Josephine Piyo who have had the opportunity of leading their LGAs even though not for a very long time, they will do their best in addressing the plights of rural dwellers, particularly by addressing the security challenges in Riyom LGA, reducing the insurgency in the rural communities to the nearest minimum to ensure that locals return to farm and enjoy the products of their labour.


Barrister Caleb Mutfwang made this known during the town hall meeting organized by the Atiku-Okowa/ Mutfwang-Piyo Campaign Council to interface with critical stakeholders, union leaders, civil society, leaders of religious and ethnic nationalities, as well as youth and women groups domiciled in Riyom LGA.


The town hall meeting which is in continuation of campaign activities of the PDP in Plateau seeks to sell the candidates of the PDP at all levels to the categories of stakeholders listed above. Before attending the town hall meeting, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang was at the Palace of the Atah Aten of Ganawuri and the Gwom Rei of Riyom LGA in order to receive Royal blessings before proceeding to meet with the people.


Barrister Caleb Mutfwang was flanked by his Deputy Ngo Josephine Piyo, Director General, Atiku-Okowa/ Mutfwang-Piyo Campaign Council Hon Letep Dabang, State Chairman of the PDP Hon Chris Adukuchili Hassan, Senatorial Candidate of the PDP for Plateau Northern Senatorial Zone, Hon Simon Mwadkwon, Candidate of the PDP for House of Representatives, B/Ladi-Riyom Federal Constituency Hon Peter Gyengdeng and the candidate of the party for Riyom State Constituency Hon Timothy Dantong. Mutfwang took time to note down questions and concerns of the people and was able to give satisfactory responses and and answers before the town hall meeting was brought to an end.
