The Plateau Debate Guild, organizers of the 2023 Plateau Gubernatorial Debate has expressed appreciation to the four gubernatorial Candidates who participated in the just concluded debate, the general public, security agencies and other partners for making the event a success.
In a statement jointly signed by the Director General of the Plateau Debate Guild Dr Daniel Meshak and Secretary Alfred Mangai Adams and made available to journalists in Jos on Friday 29th January 2023, they appreciated members of the public who took part in the online poll and market survey across the 17 LGAs of the state which helped to select the four gubernatorial candidates who participated in the 2023 Plateau Gubernatorial Debate which held on Saturday 28th January 2023 at NIPSS Kuru.

The guild used the opportunity to thank the management of National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru for providing their facility and conducive environment for the debate. They also thanked security agencies, particularly the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Operation Rainbow for providing adequate security in the general area and within the parameters of the debate. They also thanked their media partners and other supporters for their inputs
They als used the opportunity to disassociate itself from any post-debate poll result in circulation, adding that if some entities felt the need to rate the performance of the candidates after the debate, it is entirely their prerogative and has nothing to do with the guild.
