A group by the name “Probity Tribe” has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of trying to disenfranchise Plateau voters especially unsuspecting rural dwellers from voting in the February 25th and March 11th 2023 polls by allegedly asking for and extracting their Voter Identification Number (VIN) from their Permanent Voters Card (PVC).
The “Probity Tribe” was reacting to the discovery made by the Atiku-Mutfwang Youth Campaign Council led by the DG Hon Hitler Joshua Pwajok during town hall meetings with youths in Quan’pan, Shendam, Mikang, Langtang North and South, Wase LGAs to market the candidates of the PDP starting from the Presidential Candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Plateau State Guber candidate Barrister Caleb Mutfwang and all National, as well as State Assembly Candidates of the party.

Some youths during the events who didn’t want their names mentioned raised alarm that some persons suspected to be members of the APC have been going round collecting VIN numbers from unsuspecting voters without disclosing the actual purpose.
They expressed concern that the Biomodal Verification System (BVAS) may be preloaded or be made to reject anyone whose VIN number was collected before elections.
The Probity Tribe expressed deep concern on why anyone within the APC will condescend so low to the point of collecting VIN numbers in an era where such details are critical in an election, they called on security agencies to apprehend and prosecute anyone found collecting such details.
The group called on the public to report anyone one found collecting their PVC details especially those collecting their VIN number to relevant agencies, while also calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to protect the data oof voters in order to ensure that no voter is disenfranchised on elections day.
