The group by the name Christian Youths on the Plateau (CYP), in collaboration with the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN) has adopted Hon Musa Agah Aviah as their preferred candidate for the Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency seat.
This position was put forward in a statement jointly signed by Evangelist Joshua Rabo Gamada and Dn Haggai S. Sorongi the Chairman and Secretary respectively of Jos North Brank of the Association.
In the statement issued to Journalists in Jos the Plateau State capital on Wednesday 22nd February 2023, the decision to endorse Hon Musa Agah Aviah was anchored on the basis of their findings which have shown the following;
1. That Hon Musa Agah Aviah is the most preferred candidate among youth ethnic nationalities, and other tribes resident in Jos North and Bassa LGAs.
2. Hon Musa Agah Aviah’s credibility and wealth of experience in legislative business at both State and National Level is second to none.
3. Hon Musa Agah Aviah’s resilience in speaking out and standing with his constituents during their trying moments.
4. Hon Musa Agah Aviah’s acceptability and availability to his constituents at different levels in Bassa and Jos North constituencies.
5. His quality representation and good track record of achievements within a short time at the National Assembly.
This adds to the plethora of endorsements that have been dishes out to different candidates across different political parties in Plateau State prominent among which is the recent endorsement of the PRP Candidate, Hon Muhammad Gwani by Shiek Yahaya Jingre.
