Following the response to the press conference by a group by the name ‘Concerned Berom Youths’ over the alleged involvement of aides to Senator I. D Gyang in the Labour Party endorsement saga, and consequent response by the Senator in a statement issued through his Chief of Staff Da Pam Gyang Bot, the group has responded to what they described as a threat of Legal Action by Senator I.D Gyang.
In a statement credited to the group and made available to this medium on Thursday 23rd February 2023, the group said they received with utter dismay the response of the Distinguished Senator.
In their own words “Instead of the author to speak to the issues presented, he decided to threaten the youths who are legitimate and bonefide citizens of the Northern Senatorial district who have supported the Senator over the years. Some of the aides of the Senator are already calling some of our members issuing threats of arrest on them.”
They pointed out that in their press release, they said that “your senior legislative aide has declared support in his home town Rim, Riyom LGA and many other places for the Senatorial candidate of the labour party.”
They group further accused most of the aides to Senator I. D Gyang of publicly working for the candidate of the Plateau North Senatorial Candidate for Labour Party Barrister Gyang Zi, raising questions as to whether the Senator has lost control of his employees.
They further noted that what they expected the Chief of Staff to the Senator to do was to respond to the issues raised not issuing threats. They however concluded that in any case if the court invitation will be the parting gift from the Distinguished Senator to person who are bonafide indigenes of Plateau North Senatorial District, they are to present their facts.

Instead of the author to speak to the issues presented, he decided to threaten the youths who are legitimate and bonefide citizens of the Northern Senatorial district who have supported the Senator over the years. Some of the aides of the Senator are already calling some of our members issuing threats of arrest on them.
In our press release, we said “your senior legislative aide has declared support in his home town Rim, Riyom LGA and many other places for the Senatorial candidate of the labour party.” Also, most of his aides are publicly working for the candidate of the Labour Party. Or has the senator lost control of his employees? We expected the Chief of Staff to the Senator to respond to the issues raised not issuing threats.
But in any case, if the court invitation will be the parting gift from the Distinguished Senator, we’re ready to present our facts.
