Plateau State Civil Service: Barrister Caleb Mutfwang Promises to Employ More, Retrain Civil Servants

The gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has said that he will ensure that more staff are employed into the civil service and even retrain the current workforce in order to make it the best in Nigeria. Mutfwang disclosed this during a Media Interaction with Journalists, Wednesday at the at the PDP Campaign Office, Secretariat Junction, Jos.

He said that contrary to rumours that that he was planning to remove or sack civil servant s when he is voted as Governor of Plateau State. He added that instead in his own words “…I believe we even need to employ more people, I believe we need to enhance the capacity of the civil service and ensure that Plateau State Civil service is repositioned to be one of the best in the country. I think that we even need more qualitative hands in the civil service rather than removing others”

He described the allegations as “unfounded lies”, adding that he is one who believes in the rule of law, and can’t imagine that he will think of sacking people who have been employed through the institutionalised frame work of the civil service.

Mutfwang Speaks on Religion, Civil Servants

Mutfwang also used the opportunity to assure Plateau people, that contrary to “…lies being spread by his opponents…” that he was going to reverse the newly established Chiefdoms and upgraded monarchs, he stressed that he will respects established traditional institutions and won’t tamper with such.
