A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State Nde Isaac Wadak has said that it was the failure of the Lalong-led administration that gave the PDP the opportunity to select a credible Candidate to wrestle power from the APC. Nde Wadak disclosed this during an interview with journalists at his residence in Jos, the Plateau State Capital, on Saturday 25th March 2023.
In his own words “So, the failure of Lalong government provided the opportunity for us to look for not just a candidate but a credible one. We needed a candidate that would recoup the years of locust and restored the lost glory of Plateau State.”
Nde Wadak maintained that “Barr. Caleb Mutfwang is someone I know and I have interacted with several times. I know his versatility and understanding of issues. I know he is calm and chooses his words.”
Adding that “I have also listened to him and other candidates through out the electioneering period (at political fora, campaign rallies and during debates).
Nde Wadak noted that the Governor-Elect of Plateau State Barrister Caleb Mutfwang was the most realistic contender during the campaigns.
He stressed that “And I must tell you that Barr. Mutfwang was more realistic in his submissions. Mutfwang has been very frank and honest about his plans for Plateau state. It was also clear (through his submissions), that he knows Plateau and the problem of its people.”.
