Plateau Governor-Elect approves Constitution of Transition Committee, set to dissolve State Campaign Council

The Governor-Elect of Plateau State, His Excellency Barrister Caleb Mutfwang has approved the constitution of a transition Committee. This was contained in a statement issued by the Director, Media and Publicity, Atiku-Mutfwang Campaign Council, Mr Yiljap Abraham on Monday 24th April, 2023 and made available to journalists in Jos.

According to the statement, the Governor-Elect is expected inaugurate the committee on Tuesday 25th April 2023 by 10am at the Eliel Center, Rayfield, Jos.

The statement further informs that the constitution and inauguration of the Transition Committee marks a very critical point in the overall preparation for the assumption of leadership of Plateau State by His Excellency Barrister Caleb Mutfwang on May 29th 2023 at his inauguration.

The statement further noted that just before the inauguration of the Transition Committee, the Governor-Elect will formally dissolve the Plateau State PDP Campaign Council. The council which was tagged the “Atiku/Okowa-Mutfwang/Piyo Campaign Council” was chaired buy Chief Letep Dabang and comprised of over 200 members from across the State who served in 19 Directorates.

Both events are expected to be witnessed by PDP officials, members of the Campaign Council and party enthusiasts from across the State.
