The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced Senator Godswill Akpabio from Akwa-Ibom (South South) as the party’s preferred candidate for Senate President and Hon Abbas Tajudeen from Kaduna State (South West) as the preferred person for Speaker House of Representatives. The APC also announced Senator Barau Jibrin a Deputy President of the Senate and for the Deputy Speakership position went to Hon Ben Kalu from Abia State.
This was announced by the National Publicity Secretary of the APC Felix Morka following the National Working Committee meeting in Abuja Monday 8th May 2023.
