The Task Force set up by the Plateau State Government on Recovery of Auctioned Government Property has called for Public Support in order to execute the mandate given to them.
Haven commenced work in earnest in the last one week, the Task Force is calling on Plateau Citizens to volunteer valuable information that will facilitate the delivery of its mandate.
In a Public Announcement signed by the Secretary of the Committee, Hon Pam Gyang Davou Esq and made available to the public, the Task Force is asking those in possession of boarded or auctioned Government Property to stop any form of development on such property pending the completion of this exercise.
Part of the statement reads “Please be assured again that this exercise is for the benefit of the Allotees in particular and the State at large”.
The Task Force called on persons with useful, valid and verifiable information to reach the Task Force via 08159668491 or 09082595573 by call, text or Whatsapp messages, while assuring them that their any information volunteered will be treated in confidentiality.
The Task Force has also assured citizens that its responsibility as contained in the terms of reference does not in anyway at contradict the Governor’s earlier pronouncement that his administration is not out to witch-hunt anyone or any organization, but according to the task force, it is being done in good faith to ensure that appropriate procedures and laws are followed for accountability for the overall interest of the citizens of the State.
The Task Force in strict compliance with the terms of reference is requesting the general public to show understanding on the sensitive nature of its assignment and assist it by volunteering information on individuals/organizations in possession of government property, moveable or immoveable and also want individuals/organizations in custody of government property, moveable or immoveable to furnish it with such information as well as provide evidence of boarding such property for proper valuation and documentation.
