President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) has announced the retirement of all Service Chiefs, including the Inspector General of Police and Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service. This was contained in a statement released by Willie Bassey, Director of Information, Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Monday 19th June 2023.
The President consequently announced the appointment of DIG Egbetokun Kayode as Ag. Inspector General of Nigeria Police, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu as National Security Adviser, Major General C. G Musa Chief of Defence Staff, Major Gen T. A Lagbaja Chief of Army Staff, AVM H.B Abubakar Chief of Air Staff, Major General EPA Undiandeye as Chief of Defence Intelligence, and Rear Admiral E. A Ogalla and Chief of Naval Staff.
