Ambassador Elvis Akpobi thanks Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for appointing 6 Youths into Cabinet, charges them to deliver on Mandate

The Not-Too-Young-To-Lead initiative has appreciated the Delta State Governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori for keeping to his words by appointing young people into his cabinet. 

In a statement signed by the Executive Director Not Too Young To Lead Initiative, Ambassador Elvis Akpobi and made available to this medium on Thursday 20th July 2023, six out of the 25 nominees were young people. 

Ambassador Akpobi charged them not to betray the trust bestowed upon them by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, adding that it is a privilege which Deltans are looking up to them to deliver on the mandate.

Ambassador Akpobi thanked Governor Sheriff for finding them worthy to serve under his tutelage, stressing that the Not-Too-Young-To-Lead will partner with them in order to provide the needed support for them to excell.

The youths appointed by Governor Sheriff include Jamani Tommy Ejiro, Udugahn Orode, Jerry Ehiwaro, Onoriode Agofure, Engr Micheal Anoka and Barr Funnmaye Manager.

Recall that on Wednesday 19th July 2023, Delta State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori sent a list of 25 nominees to the Delta State House of Assembly for confirmation a Commissioners designate, expected to serve in his cabinet.

While reading the letter at plenary, the Speaker, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor sighted the following names as those nominated by the Governor; Daniel Odigie Odinigwe, Hon Joan Onyemaechi, Jerry Ehiwario, Charles Aniagwu, Dr Kingsley Ashibuogwu, Michael Ifeanyi Anoka, Hon Pat Ajudua, Darlington Ijeh, Chief Fidelis Tilije, Barr Funyei Manager, Hon Godknows Angele, Dr Joseph Onojaemo, and Emamusi Obiodeh. 

Others include Perez Omoun, Orode Uduaghan, Isaac Tosan Wilkie, Agbateyimiro Isaac Weyinmi, Samuel Oligida, Prof Johnbull Tonukari, Terry Ejiro Etagherure, Mrs Rose Ezewu, Jamani Tommy Ejiro, Onoriode Agofore, Hon Reuben Izeze, Vincent Oyibode, and Sunny Ekedayen.
