Says strategic engagements of Gov Mutfwang beginning to yield positive fruits

Some Aspirants who contested for the Plateau State House of Assembly tickets in the last All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in Plateau South Senatorial Constituency on Sunday lauded Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his efforts towards ensuring the security of his people.
This was contained in a press release signed by the group’s Chairman Barr. Selbol Ndam Imported and made available to newsmen in Jos. Barrister Ndam on behalf of the Aggrieved House of Assembly Aspirants in Plateau South said the strategic engagements of Gov Caleb Mutfwang on security are beginning to yield positive fruits.
It could be recalled that the Chief of Army Staff, Maj. Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, on Saturday, launched a special operation to counter the attacks of communities in the Mangu local government area of Plateau state and its environs.
Our correspondent reports that no fewer than eight special Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), several army-mounted Hilux vehicles, and motorcycles were unveiled for the operation, codenamed Operation Hakorin Damisa IV.
Speaking while addressing the troops at the Mangu mini stadium, the chief of army staff warned them that they were not in Mangu to play a chess game, and implored them not to allow the killings in Mangu to resurge.
He urged the soldiers to do everything possible to stamp out the crises in the area.
In a swift reaction, Bar Ndam.said, ” We want to use this opportunity to commend our Governor Caleb Mutfwang, for his efforts to ensure peace is restored in Plateau .”
‘Our President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a man of his word and we love what we are seeing in Mangu LGA.”
“Governor Mutfwang since becoming Governor of Plateau State some weeks ago has been working so hard in ensuring that the state is put on the path of recovery on several fronts as he has remained an unrepentant advocate of the need for the state to remain peaceful.”
“As a group, we call on the People of the state to support this man who is determined to bring development to the people of the state.
The group also said ” Determined to ensure lasting peace, Caleb Mutfwang had some weeks back visited the Director General, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mustapha Habib Ahmed; where he called for support from the agency in aid of victims who have been made to go through the unfortunate humanitarian crisis.
He has cried to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu wh who incited the cooperation of the Presidency in restoring peace to the state.
” We are glad that the President gave matching orders on the insecurity situation in Plateau State to the security chiefs to bring to book all those involved in the carnage, hence the establishment of a military base in Mangu local government council of Plateau state.
Our Governor Caleb Mutfwang also appointed a thorough breed officer Brig-General Gakji Shipi rtd as Security Adviser
That done, Governor Mutfwang did not rest on his oars as he took time to visit the Defence Headquarters to parley with the new Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Major General Taoreed Lagbaja and Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall, Hassan B. Abubakar with the need to strengthen the resolve to end the killings in the state.
He has also taken time to visit the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. Gorge Akume, where he solicited strategic collaboration to deliver the dividends of democracy to Plateau citizens and the people of North Central Nigeria.
The aggrieved Aspirants also passed a vote of confidence on Governor Caleb Mutfwang for what they called his exceptional astute leadership and good governance since he took over as Governor of Plateau state some weeks ago, adding that he would bring unprecedented economic growth and sustainable infrastructural development to the State.
They also acknowledged that the governor has shown passion and commitment to the safety of his people.
They said: “We thank you very much Your Excellency for all the good work that you’re doing.
He added: ” Your Excellency, We know that you are on track, you have done very well, you are determined to keep your people safe and we deeply appreciate those efforts that you have made.,they added.
