NotTooYoungToLead Initiative Congratulates Young Ministerial Nominee, others-thanks President Tinubu for Youth Inclusion

The Executive Director of the NotTooYoungToLead Initiative Amb Elvis Akpobi has expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving young people the opportunity to serve in the Federal Executive Council. This accroding to the Executive Director is a demonstration of the President’s determination to give young people the training and capacity to serve Nigeria.

In a statement issued by the Executive Director of the NotTooYoungToLead Initiative Amb Elvis Akpobi in Asaba, the Delta State capital, he expressed deep appreciation to the President for nominating Stella Okotete as Minister.

Part of the statement reads “On behalf of the NotTooYoungToLead Initiative, I want to sincerely thank President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for considering a young person, Stella Okotete as a Ministerial Nominee. This is worthy of emulation in an era where the clamour for youth inclusivity in Governance and Administration is becoming louder and louder.”

“Stella Okotete is a 38 year old Entrepreneur and Politician who was once the Executive Director, Business Development of the Nigerian Export and Import Bank. She represents what we at the NotTooYoungToLead Initiative have been advocating for; youths with character and capacity, with proven track records should be allowed to participate and contribute their quota in Administration and Governance”.

He charged Stella Okotete and others nominated to prove themselves by delivering on the mandate of the President for the good and betterment of Nigerians.

Recall that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently transmitted an initial list of 28 nominees to the Senate for consideration as Ministers to serve in his cabinet. One of which includes Stella Okotete.

Others include Abubakar Momoh, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, Arch. Ahmed Dangiwa, Barr. Hannatu Musawa, Chief Uche Nnaji, Dr. Betta Edu, Dr. Doris Aniche Uzoka, H.E. David Umahi, H.E Nyesom Wike, H.E. Badaru Abubakar, H.E. Nasiru El-Rufai, Hon. Ekperipe Ekpo, Hon.Nkeiruka Onyejocha, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, Hon. Uju Kennedy Ohaneye, Mr. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, Mr. Dele Alake, Mr. Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, Mr. Muhammad Idris, Mr. Olawale Edun, Mr. Waheed Adebayo Adelabu, Mrs Iman Suleiman Ibrahim, Professor Ali Pate, Professor Joseph Utsev, Senator Abubakar Kyari, Senator John Enoh and Senator Sani Abubakar Danladi.

Amb Elvis Akpobi has been advocating for youths to be involved in governance and decision making because they have the qualities to present durable inputs in governance.

NotToYoungToLead Initiative is active in five countries in Africa which include Rwanda, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Morocco and Nigeria.
