During the screening, the Assembly members thoroughly evaluated the appointee’s suitability for the position of Chief Revenue Officer of the state. Pam demonstrated his competence in a convincing manner, leading the members to commend him and request his departure.

At the conclusion of the screening, the members unanimously endorsed Mr. Wayas as the substantive Chairman of the Plateau State Internal Revenue Service (PSIRS). Wayas Jim Pam, a chartered accountant specializing in taxes, hails from Foron District in Barkin Ladi local government area of the state. Prior to his new role, Pam served as a staff member at the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS). He expressed his commitment to implementing the same level of professionalism at the state revenue service as seen at the federal level.
